Infrastructure First

Issue: Palm Coast’s roads, drainage systems, utilities, and wastewater infrastructure have not kept pace with the city’s rapid growth. Residents should not be left paying the bill for years of inadequate planning.

John’s Position: John believes infrastructure must come before expansion. He supports requiring developers to pay their fair share of the roads, utilities, and drainage improvements their projects require, rather than shifting those costs to existing taxpayers.

Responsible Growth

Issue: Growth is inevitable, but it should strengthen Palm Coast instead of overwhelming it. New development should be planned carefully, with consideration for traffic, schools, utilities, neighborhoods, and environmental resources.

John’s Position: John supports responsible, well-planned growth backed by enforceable developer agreements. He believes new development should not move forward until the necessary infrastructure is funded and in place.

Fiscal Responsibility

Issue: Every tax dollar should be spent wisely, with clear priorities and measurable results. Residents deserve confidence that city government is operating efficiently and making sound financial decisions.

John’s Position: Drawing on his experience managing large budgets and operating a small business, John believes City Hall should regularly evaluate spending, eliminate waste where possible, and protect essential public services while respecting taxpayers.

Transparent Government

Issue: Residents should understand how decisions are made before those decisions affect their neighborhoods, taxes, or quality of life. Transparency is more than posting lengthy documents online—it means communicating clearly and listening to the community.

John’s Position: John supports making city information easier to understand, encouraging meaningful public participation, and ensuring residents have a voice before major decisions are made.

Protecting Quality of Life

Issue: People choose Palm Coast because of its neighborhoods, parks, natural beauty, and sense of community. As the city grows, preserving those qualities must remain a priority.

John’s Position: John believes growth should improve Palm Coast without sacrificing the character that residents value. He supports thoughtful planning, protecting environmentally sensitive areas, maintaining neighborhood roads, and investing in the infrastructure needed to preserve the city’s quality of life for future generations.
